About Us

1st Wholesale Card Solutions is a Portland-based Independent Sales Organization (ISO) partnered with multiple Merchant Service Providers (MSPs).

Founded in 1997, our company was built on the idea of delivering wholesale payment solutions to small businesses.

As a certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE), we understand firsthand the challenges small businesses face. While we are contracted with many of the largest MSPs in the industry, we remain committed to serving our clients with the same values and agility that define the businesses we work with.

Our History

In our early years, a business opportunity led us into the fleet card environment, working primarily with automotive maintenance, repair, and fuel vendors through a contract with Wright Express (WEX)—the largest U.S. and global fleet card issuer.

From there, we expanded into the carwash industry, a natural fit for fleet services, and earned endorsements from many regional carwash associations across the United States. As our automotive niche grew, we operated under the name Compass Fleet & Merchant Services to better reflect the industries we served.

While our roots are in fleet and automotive, our mission remains the same: providing wholesale-level pricing and solutions to small businesses everywhere. By leveraging our experience with associations and group buying, we can deliver advanced POS systems and payment solutions at a fraction of the cost of our competitors.
